What You’ll Actually Be Doing
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and execution. Day to day, you’ll be:
Planning & Driving Projects Forward
- Shaping project concept notes, defining scope, setting milestones, and building realistic schedules
- Developing CAPEX plans that balance cost, timeline, and the right technology choices
- Tracking construction progress and keeping stakeholders in the loop
Owning Design & Engineering Decisions
- Reviewing and approving layouts, design data sheets (utilities, HVAC, electrical), and P&IDs
- Selecting the right utility systems based on process needs
- Signing off on URS documents, technical comparisons, and equipment specifications
Managing Vendors & Cross-Functional Teams
- Acting as the key liaison between consultants, vendors, and internal teams
- Making sure every vendor delivers exactly what the project needs, on time
Keeping Documentation Audit-Ready
- Reviewing qualification protocols (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ), validation documents, SOPs, and QMS records
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date project and layout documentation
Managing Cost & Risk
- Keeping a close eye on CAPEX and flagging overruns or scope changes early
Leading Audit & Regulatory Readiness
- Making sure the site is always prepared for both GMP and non-GMP audits
Building the Team
- Defining responsibilities and supporting the Engineering Head with resource planning
Who Intas Is Looking For
- Experience: 15 to 20 years in project and engineering leadership, ideally within pharmaceutical or biopharma manufacturing
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Location: Intas Plasma Fractionation Centre, Ahmedabad
